Experiential event production featuring an LED video wall and immersive lighting Los Angeles

For experiential events, the right production design can transform a venue from a blank canvas into an environment that feels completely intentional. Lighting, video, audio, and interactive technology all have to work together seamlessly to create an experience that guests can see, hear, and engage with.

For the Cetaphil Nourish Body Depth Camera event in Los Angeles, Lumina Productions partnered with Colina Group to provide the lighting, LED video, audio, technical production, and on-site support needed to bring the experience together.

Held at HNYPT – Honeypot LA on August 20, 2026, the event combined immersive visual elements with interactive technology in a production environment designed to make the experience feel dynamic from the moment guests arrived.

Building the Visual Environment

A successful experiential event often starts with the environment itself. Rather than relying on a single focal point, the production design for this event incorporated multiple layers of lighting and video to create depth throughout the space.

Lumina provided a combination of entrance lighting, Astera AX1 pixel tubes, Martin MAC Aura XB moving-head fixtures, rechargeable pin spots, wireless uplighting, and additional LED lighting. These elements allowed the production team to create distinct visual moments throughout the venue while maintaining a cohesive atmosphere.

A custom 36-inch Airstar orb added another dimensional lighting element to the environment, complementing the broader lighting design and helping create a visually engaging space for guests.

A High-Resolution LED Experience

At the center of the visual production was a large-format LED video wall featuring 75 tiles of 2.6mm high-resolution LED technology.

The system included NovaStar processing, media playback, video cabling, and an eight-section Tomcat box truss structure with aluminum base plates. This gave the event a substantial visual canvas while allowing content to become an integrated part of the environment rather than simply functioning as a traditional screen.

For experiential productions, large-format LED can do more than display content. It can help establish the mood of a space, create a visual focal point, and provide flexibility as the experience moves through different moments of the event.

Supporting an Interactive Experience

The event also incorporated depth-camera technology, with Lumina providing three depth-camera motion kits to support the interactive component of the experience.

Interactive technology introduces an additional layer of complexity to event production. Beyond making sure the technology itself is available, the surrounding lighting, video, power, and technical infrastructure all need to work together reliably.

Lumina’s production scope included the technical equipment and personnel required to support that larger production ecosystem, allowing the interactive elements to exist within a fully designed audiovisual environment.

Full-Service Audio and Technical Production

While the visual experience played a major role, the production also required a complete audio system and DJ setup.

Lumina provided professional DJ backline, including Pioneer CDJ-3000 media players and a Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer, along with QSC speakers. Additional audio support included a Yamaha DM3-D digital mixer, Shure QLXD wireless microphone systems, wireless handheld microphones, and active line-array speakers.

The production also included multiple 85-inch 4K displays, portable line-array systems, power distribution, and additional technical equipment to support the event’s audiovisual needs.

Behind the equipment was a dedicated technical team. Lumina’s scope included production management, lighting technicians, LED wall technicians, video technicians, projection technicians, lighting programming, and main-event technical support across setup and strike.

Where Technology Meets Experience

The most successful experiential events are rarely defined by one piece of equipment. They come together when every production element serves the larger experience.

For the Cetaphil Nourish Body Depth Camera event, Lumina’s role extended across lighting, LED video, audio, interactive technology, power, and technical staffing. Each component contributed to creating an environment where the production technology could support the experience rather than compete with it.

From the first lighting cue to the LED wall and interactive elements, the goal was to create a cohesive production environment that felt intentional, immersive, and ready for guests.

We’re proud to have once again partnered with Colina Group to help bring a thoughtful experiential production to life in Los Angeles.
